AMAR # 1015 House Feast at Dakor!

Pushpanjali, Dakor, celebrated the Feast of our Patron, St. Teresa of Child Jesus. The celebration of this feast was indeed a joyous one as our young people of the different groups highlighted and commemorated her life during the week.

6th October 2019, was the climax of all the celebrations as we honoured  St. Teresa of Child Jesus at our Centre. Being the Extraordinary Missionary Month, we seized the opportunity and deemed it a great privilege to celebrate this feast our Saint, the Patron of the Missions in a very special way. We ventured into a new innovative initiative and invited the Parents and Family members of our Sisters from Gujarat to share in our joy and festivity.

The boarders were delighted to present to our guests a short programme portraying the beautiful life of our dear Patron Saint. Along with this, we had lively games and the traditional Garba dance for all. A lot of joy and happiness prevailed everywhere and all those present were truly grateful to be part of this great celebration. Later on, our guests were invited to share in the fellowship meal.

In the evening there was yet another grand celebration as our community started the ADMA group. An attractive banner was displayed on the background revealing the significance of the ADMA Association. From our Parish 20 members participated in the inaugural ceremony. Sr. Hilda Braganza welcomed the members on behalf of the community and expressed her joy to have their presence for this inaugural. Sr. Elphina presented briefly the importance of joining the ADMA group and made known the commitments it entails.

After a brief discussion, the ADMA members chose the First Saturday as their meeting day for every month.  Each one took upon themselves that they will take some initiatives to spread the devotion to Mother Mary and imitate her by reaching out to others in loving service in their neighbourhood and the people around them. Lively games were organized which everyone enjoyed very much. The ADMA members expressed their gratitude to the community Sisters for initiating this group.
