AMAR # 1228 An Evening with St. Mary Mazzarello!

At Auxilium Convent, Carona, 13th May was the day of rejoicing and gladness as we celebrated the feast of our beloved Co-foundress Maria Domenica Mazzarello. She would recommend her Sisters, ‘Always be cheerful, and never forget the one who loves you so much in the Lord.’ Hearts filled with love for our Mother we spent the day in prayer as she said, ‘Pray always, let prayer be the weapon of that you always keep at hand.’

We spent an evening with special highlights such as A moment of prayer followed by fun time which was creatively animated by Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas. It was the time of joy and laughter, all the Sisters with much enthusiasm participated in a quiz based on Mother Mazzarello’s life and her virtues. We enjoyed the time of togetherness. In one of the games we were asked to write the message for the young in 25 words and each one beautifully express which are below:

Sr. Marie D’Silva: “Be prayerful, love God, listen to his Word, be happy and cheerful. Be a witness of his love, be patient, and compassionate.  Be forgiving.”

Sr. Dolly Rodrigues: “In these times of uncertainties may the love of Christ be filled you with hope, be cheerful and live these days by seeing God in the people you encounter and never cease to pray.”

Sr. Kavita Dias: “You must become the good Christians and upright citizens. Love God and our Blessed Mother .reach out to those in need during this time of trial.”

Sr. Jennifer Macwan: “My dear young people be sure of God’s protective hand upon you. He will guide you and surprise you in a way that you never imagine. He wants you to be happy in all that you do. Above all be cheerful.”

Thus we ended the joy and cheer and togetherness and thanked God for giving us a simple and humble Mother.
