A Month with Mary

 Saint John Bosco while talking to the youngsters of his time said;

A great support for you, a powerful weapon against the wiles of the devil, dear youngsters, is to have a devotion to Mary most holy.

Every youngster of Aux- Benaulim bubbles with love for Mother Mary.  And this was given expression through their fervent prayers during assemblies, creatively decorating the statue of Our Lady  The month with Mary began on 16th July on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Every morning the assembly was well animated by the respective classes along with their Class teachers.

Mary has indeed been a guide and protector of all those who call upon her, more so for all of us here at Auxilium for she is invoked and revered by every student and educator. On the eve of the Independence Day, the students of Std IX A, along with their Class teacher concluded the Month of Mary with a beautiful and meaningful prayer moment.  The skit about Our Lady’s Crown, gave us a message that time and again Mary reaches out to all those in need.

Don Bosco would say- “Have great devotion to Mary and you will know what miracles are”.

May we have great devotion to Mary and experience her blessings in our life.

Independence Day Celebration:

The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and joy.

The day began with a short prayer moment invoking God’s blessings on every citizen of our Country. Sr. Agatha Dias was the Chief Guest and did the honours of unfurling the National flag. A short programme of national integration songs and speeches given by the students gave us a flash back of those great leaders who were instruments in liberating our country from the British rule.  Sr. Agatha Dias gave a short message  to the students.

Doing the right thing at a right time and at a right place is positive freedom that we need to choose and take responsibility for ourselves and others. Doing what we want and when we want and how we want is negative freedom that does not make us responsible citizens. Let us be responsible citizens of our country; leading our country to great heights.

Past Pupils Meet

On 15th August Sr. Elizabeth Coelho organized the past pupils meet. A good number of past pupils were present. Sr. Agatha Dias the Superior gave a very valuable input regarding the Synod.  The PP appreciated the knowledge they gained and resolved to read the bible daily, download a Scripture app, forward at least one biblical message to friends.  They also put up two activities they would take up in the year and fixed the date and timing for the next meeting.  We hope they will be a boost for the next meeting.
