On October 11, 2025, Sr. Shobhana Pereira organized “A Day with God” along with a celebration in honor of Sr. Maria Troncatti and a series of Marian games for students of Standards 5 to 10. Around 30 students participated.
The program began with a warm welcome by Mrs. Shefali D’Souza, followed by an invocation of God’s blessings led by Sr. Shobhana Pereira and the students.
Sr. Philomena D’Souza, the community animator, then addressed the gathering. She invited each student to pick a leaf and observe its unique color, size, and shape. Through this simple yet meaningful activity, she beautifully illustrated how—just like the leaves—each of us is created uniquely by God, special in our own way, and called to remain connected with Him.
Next, Sr. Catherine Fernandes spoke about Sr. Maria Troncatti, who is soon to be canonized as a saint. She presented a documentary on Sr. Maria’s life and shared photos of her missionary work, highlighting her compassion, service to the poor, and unwavering faith. Sr. Catherine inspired the students to live with the same spirit of love, service, and faithfulness. The session concluded with a touching hymn dedicated to St. Maria Troncatti.
Following this, Sr. Pushpa and Sr. Shobhana divided the participants into groups for Marian-themed games such as jigsaw puzzles on Mother Mary, and “Finding the Way to Mary. These creative and engaging activities combined learning with fun, fostering teamwork and joyful participation among the students.
The excitement continued with recreational games organized by Mrs. Clara Rodrigues and Mrs. Giselle Rodrigues. Laughter and cheer filled the air as everyone joined in, strengthening the sense of friendship and togetherness.
As the program drew to a close, the students expressed their gratitude to the organizers. Each participant received a token of appreciation, symbolizing love and thankfulness. The event concluded with delicious snacks, leaving everyone with happy hearts and smiling faces.
Overall, the day was a beautiful blend of prayer, learning, fun, and fellowship—a memorable experience that deepened faith, strengthened bonds, and filled everyone with joy and inspiration.
