A TASTE OF GOA: GOAN BAZAAR DAY 2026 - AUXILIUM CARONA

Auxilium Primary School, Carona, came alive with the vibrant colours and flavours of Goa as it celebrated Goan Bazaar Day 2026 on 29 August 2026. The event offered students a joyful opportunity to experience a traditional marketplace while learning the value of local produce, community and Goan heritage.

The celebration was graced by Rev. Fr. Agnel Simoes, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Thomas Church, Aldona, as Chief Guest, and Mrs. Shanta Yeshwant Panjikar, Aldona Cluster Resource Person, Goa Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, as Guest of Honour. The students added to the festive spirit by coming dressed in traditional Goan attire.

Through the colourful stalls, students experienced buying and selling, handled money and practised mathematical skills in a real-life setting. They also developed teamwork, communication, responsibility and entrepreneurial skills.

With local products, traditional Goan sweets and delicious snacks, the school echoed with the cheerful spirit of a Goan marketplace. The event was made possible through the generous cooperation of the PTA, parents, teachers, support staff and the Sisters.

Goan Bazaar Day 2026 was more than a celebration—it was a joyful lesson in culture, community and learning by doing!
