A WOMAN FOR ALL TIME: CELEBRATING THE LEGACY OF MOTHER MAZZARELLO

The festivities continued in the evening at Jag Prakash Kanya Chhatralaya, Pansora, where the FMA communities of Jag Prakash Kanya Chhatralaya, Pansora and Pushpanjali, Dakor jointly organized the solemn Eucharistic celebration. The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Bishop Rethna Swamy, Bishop of Ahmedabad, together with 20 concelebrating priests from across the deanery. The presence of Diocese women religious, teachers, collaborators, parishioners, and well-wishers made the celebration a true expression of communion and shared faith. In his inspiring homily, Bishop Rethna Swamy reflected on the life of Mother Mazzarello and invited everyone to live her cherished motto, "Do everything for the love of God."

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the junior hostel girls of Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralaya presented a vibrant cultural programme depicting the life and values of Mother Mazzarello. The day concluded with a fellowship meal, where all gathered in a spirit of gratitude and fraternity.

The celebration truly reflected the timeless relevance of Mother Mazzarello's life and mission. Through prayer, celebration, and fellowship, young and old alike were inspired to know her more deeply, love her more dearly, and continue her legacy of educating and evangelizing with joy, simplicity, and unwavering trust in God.

The Feast of St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello, Co-foundress of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, was celebrated with immense joy and gratitude at Auxilium Primary School, Pansora.

The day's celebration began at 8:30 a.m. with a vibrant school programme centred on the theme "A Woman for All Time." The prayer service beautifully unfolded the significance of the theme, inviting everyone to reflect on the holiness and inspiring life of Mother Mazzarello. As a meaningful gesture, each sister of the community was presented with a symbolic gift representing one of Mother Mazzarello's virtues, reminding all of her enduring legacy. The programme came alive with a melodious song dedicated to Mother Mazzarello, a touching dramatization of her life by the students, and a delightful feast-day dance by the pre-primary children that filled the atmosphere with joy. Concluding the programme, Sr. Maria Macwan, Manager of the school, encouraged the children to imitate Mother Mazzarello's simplicity, love, and faithfulness in their daily lives. The celebration ended on a cheerful note as snacks were distributed to the students before they returned home.
