ABIDING IN GOD'S LOVE: CELEBRATING MOTHER MAZZARELLO – AUXILIUM CARONA

After the Holy Mass, all the students were served delicious festive cake, which they enjoyed with great happiness. Following the break, everyone assembled once again in the school hall for a vibrant cultural programme. The students presented lively dances, meaningful songs, and a touching skit depicting important incidents from the life of St. Mary Mazzarello. Their performances beautifully reflected her spirit of love, sacrifice, and unwavering trust in God.

At the end of the programme, Sr. Lavita Sequiera, Headmistress, appreciated and thanked the teachers for their dedicated efforts in training the students and making the celebration a memorable one. The celebration concluded on a joyful note with sweets being distributed to all the students.

The Feast of Mary Mazzarello was a truly enriching and faith-filled celebration that inspired everyone to remain rooted in God's love and to live lives of kindness, prayer, and service, just as St. Mary Mazzarello did.

"To love God and to make Him loved is the greatest joy of life." Inspired by the life of St. Mary Mazzarello, Auxilium Primary School, Carona, joyfully celebrated the Feast of Mary Mazzarello on 10th July 2026 with great devotion and enthusiasm with the inspiring theme "Mary Mazzarello: Abiding in God's Love." The entire school community came together to honour the Co-founder of the Salesian Sisters and to draw inspiration from her life of faith, love, and selfless service.

The students arrived at school dressed in colourful clothes, adding a festive spirit to the celebration. The day began with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration celebrated by Fr. Jose Rodrigues, Diocesan Priest and Parish Priest of St. Thomas Church, Aldona.

In his homily, Fr. Jose beautifully explained the life of St. Mary Mazzarello. He highlighted how she lovingly helped her parents in their daily work, nurtured a deep love for God, and remained prayerful throughout her life. He encouraged the students to imitate her virtues by being obedient, kind, helpful, and faithful in their daily lives.
