AMAR MEDIA FESTIVAL 2025–‘26 Theme: “HOPE IN YOUR FEED, KINDNESS IN YOUR CLICKS”

The AMAR Media Festival 2025–26 was held on 8th November 2025 at St. Mary Mazzarello, Wadala Mumbai, bringing together students of Standards VIII to X from the Gujarat and Maharashtra regions. The AMAR Media Festival 2025–26 was held on 8th November 2025 at St. Mary Mazzarello, Wadala Mumbai, bringing together students of Standards VIII to X from the Gujarat and Maharashtra regions. Ten schools participated, each represented by ten enthusiastic students, accompanied by a teacher and a sister.

The day began at 10:00 a.m. with a vibrant band procession led by the students of Auxilium High School, Ahilyanagar, followed by a solemn school procession with banners and placards. The festival was graced by Rev. Sr. Meenakshi D’Silva, FMA, Provincial of the Mumbai Province, as the Chief Guest, along with other dignitaries.

A unique welcome awaited the guests—robots and digital tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram greeted everyone, symbolizing the fusion of faith and technology. The event opened with a prayer service and a graceful welcome dance by Auxilium High School, Pali Hill.

Rev. Sr. Meenakshi officially declared the Media Festival 2025 open, after which a touching short film, “The Inspiring Legacy of Sr. Phyllis Fernandes – A Life that Gave Birth to AMAR,” was screened, honoring the founder of the AMAR Media Centre.

The festival featured a Video-Making Competition, judged by experts in journalism and mass communication. In her inspiring address, Rev. Sr. Meenakshi urged the youth to use media responsibly—to spread positivity and bring people closer to God. The winners were awarded with trophies

Other exciting events followed, including Poster Designing, Reel Making, Collage Creation, Best Photograph, and Media Quiz. The campus buzzed with creativity, joy, and friendly competition. After lunch and lively games, the Auxilium Ahilyanagar students staged a touching skit on St. Maria Troncatti, portraying her missionary life in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

The Dance Competition brought color and rhythm to the afternoon, with expert choreographers as judges. In a joyful finale, all schools joined together to dance, celebrating unity and joy.

The Media Quiz featured five engaging rounds—testing knowledge of media history, personalities, platforms, ethics, and visuals. The participants impressed everyone with their enthusiasm and awareness.

At the closing ceremony, Sr. Betty Menezes, Media Coordinator of the Province and In-charge of the AMAR Media Centre, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who made the event a success. The day concluded with the distribution of prizes, certificates, and a memorable group photograph, followed by the National Anthem at 5:30 p.m.

The AMAR Media Festival 2025–26 was truly a celebration of youthful creativity, responsible media use, and the joy of learning through communication—a day to be remembered and cherished by all.
