AUXILIUM BARODA CELEBRATES THE 80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY Celebrating Freedom with Joy, Pride and Responsibility

The celebrations then came alive with an array of patriotic speeches, songs, dances and cultural presentations. Students showcased their talents and expressed their love for the country through vibrant performances. The programmes beautifully reflected India's rich cultural diversity while reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters who paved the way for the nation’s independence.

The Chief Guests, in their addresses, reminded the students that freedom is not merely a right to enjoy but also a responsibility to uphold. They encouraged everyone to value the freedom we have received, respect one another, live as responsible citizens and contribute in their own ways towards building a peaceful and harmonious society. The students were reminded that true freedom is reflected in the way we respect others, make responsible choices and work for the good of our country.

The celebrations concluded with a strong sense of patriotism, gratitude and responsibility. The students carried with them a renewed commitment to value their freedom, use it wisely and contribute positively to the nation.

The Independence Day celebrations at Auxilium Baroda were therefore not merely a commemoration of the past, but also a reminder to the young generation that the future of our nation is in their hands. With hearts filled with pride and hope, the Auxilium family celebrated the freedom of our country and renewed its commitment to building a better India.

Auxilium Convent High School, Baroda celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great joy, patriotic spirit and pride. The celebrations were spread over 14 and 15 August 2026, giving students across the school an opportunity to express their love for the nation and to reflect on the gift and responsibility of freedom.

The celebrations began on 14 August with cultural programmes presented by the Pre-Primary, English Medium Primary and Gujarati Medium Primary Sections. The Chief Guests for the respective programmes were Sr. Philomena D’Souza, School Manager, for the Pre-Primary Section; Sr. Mary Cherian for the English Medium Primary Section; and Sr. Celsa Magalhaes for the Gujarati Medium Primary Section.

On 15 August 2026, the Independence Day celebration continued with the students of the Middle School, High School and Higher Secondary Section, with Ms. Mayuri Gohil Chair of the Masoom Child Safety Initiative at Young Indians and Founder of Pathshala, an educational initiative of the Sakshamneev Charitable Foundation as the Chief Guest.

Both days commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guests, who were greeted with saplings as a symbol of growth, hope and a commitment to nurturing a better future. This was followed by a prayer moment, as the school community thanked God for the freedom of our country and prayed for peace, unity and harmony in India and throughout the world.

The flag-hoisting ceremony by the Chief Guests was a solemn and proud moment for everyone present. As the National Flag soared high, the students joined in honouring the nation with respect and patriotic enthusiasm.
