On 13th September the guides of Auxilium Convent High School, Bandra along with their Guide Captains participated in ” Breha Mumbai Swachata Abhiyan” conducted by West Mumbai Bharat Scout and Guide Association. The main aim of the campaign was Juhu Beach Cleanliness after the immersion of Ganpati idols. The initiative was undertaken to spread Cleanliness awareness among society and to forbid single-use plastic.
The Marian Day was really a memorable event in the Auxilium School, Carona. Sr. Dolly Rodrigues, the headmistress organized the day in a meaningful way so that children and teacher enjoy themselves thoroughly. She conducted a quiz competition based on the life of Mother Mary and the questions were given well in advance. The children of Maria Sharan, Keshnand celebrated Teachers’ Day, assisted by Sr. Krupalata Pereira which comprised of dances, a skit, and a joke. Through these items, they thanked the Sisters who take care of them and teaches them values for their life. Towards the end, they sang a song which they themselves composed for the occasion. On 15th September, we at Maria Sharan, Keshnand had the concluding of Marian Month. We began the Marian Nite by praising God for the gift of Mary our Mother. This was followed by a variety of games for children which were based on Mary’s life. All the children enjoyed the games and meaningfully enacted the Joyful Mysteries. We distributed prizes for the children’s effort for the various competitions.
