On 25 -26 September, an initiative was taken by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra in collaboration with Sacred Heart Convent, Auxilium School, Don Bosco School, St. Anne’s Church and St. John’s Church to reach out to the needy flood-affected people at Aare village, Kholapur. Auxilium Ahmednagar supported 15 families to reconstruct their houses by providing them the roofing sheets. St. Xavier’s Church facilitated the whole relief work. The families were also

Auxilium Ahmednagar celebrated Gratitude Day on 20 September with the theme: ‘Sisters you spin a wonderful yarn of love.’ The teachers and students gifted bouquets and saplings to the Sisters. The entire Auxilium Family showcased their thankfulness through a grand cultural programme i.e. dances, skits and songs. To add to the celebration in a tangible way, the students contributed a sizeable amount for the victims of the flood in Kolhapur.

On 15 August, the Past Pupils of Auxilium Convent School, Ahmednagar gathered for a meeting at Laura Vicuna Niwas. The meeting was to give information regarding the different career options which are available for them today. Sir Siddharth Bhingarkar who is currently a teacher in the SVN branch from the past 6 years was invited as the resource person for the day. The theme was “Career: Challenges, Opportunities, and Possibilities.”

The Parish of Don Bosco, Savedi organized a Jesus Nite with the theme, “Jesus my Super Star”. The main objective of this event was growing in Faith. The key point of the evening was coming closer to Jesus through the Word of God.

On 2nd October the past pupils of Auxilium Ahmednagar visited the marginalised children of the Dama House accompanied by Sr. Nilima Rodrigues. They spent quality time with the children. They taught the kids a few action songs and conducted games. The past pupils were delighted that they brought smiles on the faces of the little ones.    

On 23 September 2019, a Cleanliness Rally was conducted by Auxilium Convent High School, Ahmednagar in collaboration with the Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra and Tata Power. On the evening of 7th October, the inmates of Maria Vihar were tapping their feet to the beat of the Gujarati songs as they celebrated ‘The Garba Night’. The boarders, hostelites, the VTC girls and teachers dressed in the traditional and colourful attire danced enthusiastically. To add to the fun spot prizes were given to the girls. The air was filled with joy, fun, laughter and above all the togetherness.

On 11th October we were privileged to have Sr. Jaya Pedthala who conducted a session on Saving the Environment to the inmates of the hostel. Through different videos, she brought home the current issues of the world. She asked the girls for some concrete and practical suggestions wherein they could do their part.
