AMAR # 1193 Auxilium Lonavla observes Science Day!

February 28th was observed as National Science Day. During the morning assembly, the significance of the day was explained. A brief synopsis of the work of Professor Sir C.V. Raman was presented. A slide show and videos on Chandrayaan was shown on the class edge of every class.

AMAR # 1192 Workers’ Day at Auxilium Lonavla!

Work is worship. With symbols of different works adorned at the backdrop, the school commemorated Workers’ Day on 28th February 2020. Each worker serving in our school campus was welcomed with an arti and tilak. They were also honoured with a rose presented by the students.   A prayer moment was animated imploring God’s blessing on our workers and thanking God for the gift of each of them to the Institute.

AMAR # 1191 Anand Mela at Keshnand!

0n 29th of February 2020, we celebrated Anand Mela at Maria Sharan, Keshnand. The most awaited event- Anand Mela was attended by the children of the locality and by our inmates. The main organizers were Sr. Justina Rodrigues, with her team of volunteers of PIME brothers and the past pupils. All over Maharashtra, 27th February is observed as Marathi Day. Auxilium Lonavla celebrated the Marathi Day on 27th February 2020. The secondary section put up a meaningful programme. The teachers teaching Marathi had prepared the students. The significance of the day was explained. The beauty of Marathi was brought out through songs, poems, and dance. AMAR # 1189 Girl Guide Camp at Auxilium Lonavla!

On 15th February 2020, the Guides of Std VIII and IX had a half-day camp at Ryewood Park, Lonavla. They were arranged in various patrols for B.P.6 exercises and different activities. After flag hoisting and prayers they practiced knots, bandages, and lashings. They were inspected and judged on the following criteria: uniform, discipline, tent layout, gadgets, neatness, etc. The Girl Guides dismantled their things and the camp was concluded.   

AMAR # 1188 Meal together at Auxilium Lonavla!

A fun time was planned and executed by the Headmistress, Sr. Sheela and the staff of the whole school on 20th February after the training programme Circle Time. The venue was the Convent garden. From 10th to the 25th of February, the staff and students of Mazzarello Kendra celebrated Value Education cum Catechism week. AMAR # 1184 Don Bosco among the boarders of Carona!

On 30th January, the eve of the feast of our founder Don Bosco after the vigil service our children – Carona boarders put up a short programme for the Sisters. Through their innocence yet cheerful way they expressed their love for Don Bosco.  Once again we all together thank God for this cheerful saint and concluded with the thought ‘Trust in Mary and you will see what miracles are.’
