On the 13th of December, Auxilium Caranzalem held its Annual Sports Day. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mrs. Monica Lobo e Dourado, the Project Officer of SAG (Sports Authority of Goa)
The celebration began with the March Past followed by the torch relay. After the participants took the Sports Oath, the Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet open. The solemn opening ceremony then followed, after which the students displayed class-wise drills, interspersed with the track events for the different age groups.
The winners were awarded medals – gold, silver and bronze for their achievement. The highlight of the day was the most awaited ‘Tug of war’ finals for both boys and girls. The Chief Guest then addressed the gathering and distributed the prizes, the overall trophies, and individual championships. The Sports Meet was declared closed with the lowering of the sports flag and the singing of the National Anthem.
