“Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us”. (Lk 2:15)
When a child is born, the child is surrounded by the family members, everyone comes to see the newly born child. So also, when Jesus, the King was born at Bethlehem: God made the arrangement of informing His people through the angel to the Shepherds, through the star to the kings and so the relatives of Jesus came to visit him on his birthday. This visit of the Shepherds and Kings shows that God has no difference towards his people. The poor and rich were present to greet the king of kings. Christmas is a family celebration that brings families together and so we the Sisters of Pali Hill and Auxilium Bandra came together to celebrate this family get-together i.e. Christmas. We surrounded Jesus and made Him the center by beginning our evening celebration with a meaningful Adoration well prepared by Sr. Breenel after which we had some family entertainments and a sumptuous supper. We went back to our communities with the message from Sr. Rita Dora, Provincial who invited us to be the Christmas to each other with our own unique good qualities.
We praise and thank the newly born Baby Jesus who was born to bring newness and liberty to the world.
