The 26th of December was a special day for the sisters of the Goa region, as we joyfully came together to have a Christmas celebration, at Auxilium Convent – Caranzalem. We began with a meaningful prayer moment at 11 am thanking God for the gift of His Son to the world and also for the gift of our Salesian religious vocation.
We were then divided into four groups, namely Angels, Shepherds, Stars, and Wise Women. This was followed by moments of fun and rejoicing as each community animated a game with prizes for all. Queen Santa – Sr. Marietta Vettickal was the highlight of the recreation. Each of us truly experienced the family spirit and spent time together in laughter, happiness and joy cherishing the company of the other.
We then proceeded to the refectory for an agape meal, where each community brought a dish to be shared. We thanked each other for the beautiful moments spent together and left for our respective communities strengthened in our bonds of love.
