AMAR # 1318 Visit of Tanghudhama Children to Nandgad

On 14 January 2021, we organised a day that was full of activities for the Anmol children of Tanghudhama. Sr. Smita Monis, social workers along with 22 inmates arrived at 11.00 am in Nandgad for an outing. The community of Nandgad gave them a warm welcome. The community organised some exciting and lively games for the children. It was indeed a joyful moment for all of us to see children enjoying their day to the full. Then we had a meal together and lighter moments were spent with the children through dance and songs.

In the afternoon we walked up to the mountain to visit the Miraculous Cross of Nandgad. We spent some time in prayer and offered various intentions. This was followed by tea and snacks. Sr. Rita Fernandes, our superior gave them a valuable message of how they have to do well in their studies and to be successful in life. We also announced the winners of the games and Sr. Rita gave away the prizes. The children too thanked the sisters for all that was done for them. This day will always be cherished as we spend these moments of togetherness in joy and happiness.
