AMAR # 1345 Women’s Day Celebrations at Auxilium Baroda

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year. This day is symbolic of the historic journey women around the world have taken to better their lives.

This day is indeed one of those days that makes every woman feel special…and Auxilium Convent Baroda left no stone unturned to make sure that her teachers felt on top of the world!

Dressed in their best, the teachers gathered in the hall at half-past eight. The school manager Sr. Priscilla Travasso led us in prayer. The next two hours that followed were filled with laughter, joy, a sense of pride, and insight.

Our very own dynamic past pupil, Mrs. Hiral Chavada, organized a creative and engaging program for the teachers. She began by reminding the teachers of the various roles and responsibilities they bear and how they needed to appreciate themselves for being able to multi-task.

She exhorted us to be ‘ever ready teachers’ and to ‘think out the box’. She stressed the importance of conducting a SWOT on a regular basis. The self-awareness activity was an eye-opener for many.

After an interesting and insightful seminar, she conducted a game or two. The teachers were seen rolling with laughter and clapping hands.

The male staff, although a minority, took it upon themselves to make the teachers feel extraordinary. They were ready with their surprise which involved beautiful words of appreciation and respect and a dance.

A sumptuous lunch, sponsored by the School Management, at Mad Over Grills was the cherry on the top!

This day, 8th March 2021, will definitely be tagged with numerous photos and selfies and will bring a flood of nostalgic memories of an unforgettable and amazing day when it pops up next year.

Kudos to all women!!!…for there is no HERO without HER!!! Happy Women’s Day
