AMAR # 1437 Independence Day celebration at Auxilium Dahanu

On the 15th August, the 75th year of India’s independence the tuition children, computer and nursing students, altogether 85 in numbers had gathered at Auxilium Youth Animation Centre, Dahanu for the flag hoisting ceremony.

The ceremony began at 7.45 a.m.  Sr. Sera Menezes did the honours of hoisting the flag and all present paid due respect to our country by saluting and singing the national Anthem. The children honoured our country and paid respect to our freedom fighters with their patriotic dance, singing, and speeches.  Sr. Sera, the chief guest of the day spoke to the children saying “To be the good pillars of our country, honour it, respect it, and protect it.  We are the children and it’s our responsibility to protect our Mother India”.

Thousands laid down their life so that we can celebrate this day.  We want to add on to that number by loving our country deeply, respecting it truly and protecting it courageously. We pledge today to be the true children of India.

“Carried with care, coated with pride, Dipped in love, fly in glory, moments of freedom in shade of joy.  Proud to be an Indian.
