AMAR # 1443 News from Auxilium Pali Hill, Bandra

On 25th July 2021 a day for the elderly sisters was kept up at Auxilium Pali Hill. The day began with a meaningful, informative and participatory morning prayer. It was followed by sumptuous breakfast prepared by the sisters. The entire day was made a special one for our sisters with well conducted prayer moments and delicious food at different intervals, animated recreations, tokens of appreciation were given and a photo session was held.  

On 29th July 2021 the eco coordinator Sr. Judy Gaikwad along with sisters took up the initiative that is put in the project of adopting a tree. Every sister was given a star shaped tag with her name and was asked to tie it to the tree, hug that tree and adopt it. All the sisters actively participated in this activity and also shared the importance to preserve and conserve trees.

On the 30th July 2021 the sisters at Auxilium organized an eco-activity for the teachers. The importance of planting trees and creating green space at home were stressed. A short explanation was read out to help all to understand the need and the requirement to joins hands to save environment in little ways by all. Sr. Shiny Alphonse gave a small badge to every teacher with words “Green Nurturer”, and asked all to really carry out simple small initiatives with our students and in their own homes to create a better environment. At the end all the teaching and non-teaching staff were give a Ajwain sapling and were asked to personally take care of the plant and share the pictures after two months.
