AMAR # 1511 FRUITFUL COMMUNITY AND APOSTOLIC EXPERIENCE!

The novices of the SHTC Nashik were fortunate to go for their Community and Apostolic Experience for one month (5th September to 5th October) to different communities namely Ahmednagar, Keshnand, Auxilium Wadala, Koparkhairane and Uttan. We would like to share our experiences of those days.

I, Sr. Shweta Saulea had an inspiring and enriching experience in the community of Laura Vicuna Niwas, Ahmednagar. I experienced the Salesian Family Spirit and the Spirit of Mornese that the Sisters lived in the community. I was given the task of Assistance of hostel girls, classes for the candidates and teaching in the school. Indeed it was a fruitful experience which helped me a lot and motivated me to go forward courageously and to be an authentic FMA.

I, Sr. Ujwala Nato had the opportunity of having the community experience in the community of Auxilium Wadala. Indeed I had a very good experience during which I felt the Salesian Family life and Mornesian Spirit among the Sisters. The Sisters tried their best to involve me in all the sectors especially the teaching sector where I encountered children and conducted some online classes for them.

I, Sr. Priyanka Tirkey had the opportunity to experience community life in the community of Maria Sharan, Keshnand. I enjoyed being with the girls, teaching them craft, action songs, English, giving goodnights and also assistance. This experience has strengthened me in my vocational journey. I look forward to be an authentic FMA in the institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.

I, Sr. Pavitra Mascarenhas had a fruitful experience in the Community of Anmol Niwas, Koparkhairane. The Sisters involved me in all the sectors mostly in classes, activities and assistance which helped me to understand and encourage the children and make them feel that they are loved. Visiting the parish families, the slums and the migrants made me aware of the generous services rendered by the community to the people. Now I feel motivated and zealous to work for the poor and abandoned youngsters by being an authentic FMA.

We, Sr. Reena Fernandes and Sr. Flavian Fernandes were privileged to be in the community of Uttan for our community experience. Indeed, the experience was enriching, full of fervor, zeal, opportunities, activities and assistance which is the heart of the FMA mission. This experience has strengthened and encouraged us to go forward in our vocational journey and to be authentic FMA’s.

We were also fortunate to have our Mission Experience at Dakor for 5 days, beginning with the feast of the Patroness of the Missions, St. Teresa of Child Jesus. We experienced the life of the poor, both women and children, with the Sisters helping them to uplift their standard in society and encouraging them to be independent. The village experience challenged us to reflect on the Vow of Poverty and to depend on God for His Providence. Both the experiences have motivated our zeal to work for the poor and the young in the footsteps of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello.
