AMAR # 1666 – ‘PARENTS ARE OUR FIRST TEACHERS’@ BARODA

From 27th June to 4th July 2022 Auxilium Baroda organised the parent’s seminar for the parents from Nursery to std XII on ‘Parenting Tips’ along the lines of various issues and subjects that concern the psychological, mental, and emotional well-being and nurturing of students in their formative years were touched upon as per their age groups. This was chaired and conducted by Mrs. Bina Yadav, a highly accomplished and accredited professional prolific in the areas of parenting, personal coaching, and self-discovery. She was incredibly well-versed and effective in detailing the various problems and challenges students face at this age in today’s modern, urban living. She advocated for and elucidated the need of novel paradigms in parenting approaches, where the focus is on the growth and holistic development of the child. Her ideas and recommendations were unanimously lauded by the parents and the session was interactive and highly constructive.

With teenage parents she spoke on current problem areas that trouble today’s youth. During the session she touched upon social issues like stress, bullying, mobile addiction and peer pressure. She also invited the parents to express their perspective over some issues. She also gave parenting tips on positive pattern of communication between parents and children, family values and encouraging children to use gadgets judiciously. Stress was also laid for parents to practice active listening to their child, show them love and affection daily and involve their children in decision making processes. All in all, it was an interesting session for the parents. Finally the parents expressed their gratitude to the management for organising the seminar.
