AMAR # 1675 Auxilium, Caranzalem  – Appointment of the school student council

2nd July 2022 dawned with great hope and expectations for all of us at Auxilium, Caranzalem as it was the day of Investiture of our student leaders. The theme for the day was, ‘Together we can make a difference’. The ceremony began with our leaders marching in with great enthusiasm and determination headed by the Head girl, Ms. Hajel Gauns, the assistant Head boy, Sports Captain, Assistant Sports captain, House captains and the patrols. It was indeed a sight to behold! These youngsters who were just simple students sitting in their classes in the yester years, would this day shoulder a great responsibility of being the extended hands of the Sisters and teachers seeing to the discipline and reaching out in various ways.

The student leaders first prayed for God’s assistance and expressed their sentiments through a song, ‘We can make a difference’. Five representatives of the Educating community were invited to light the lamp as we began the service invoking God’s presence and His assistance during this event.

The student leaders were then vested with the Scarf, the sash and the flag as a mark of responsibility in their respective duties. The Head girl was handed the School flag, the sash and the scarf as a mark of honour and responsibility that she would hold throughout this year fulfilling different duties.  Similarly the other captains too were given their respective flags, sashes and scarves by the Headmistress. The ceremony continued with the Head girl delivering a short speech and also promising to carry on her task with responsibility and dedication. Then all the teachers were called forward to extend their right hand as a sign of blessing upon the student leaders as they all prayed for them. Then the manager and the Headmistress gave a short message to the Leaders and the students encouraging them to work in unity with each other and with positivity.

The parents of some of the leaders were also invited for this celebration and it was indeed an honour for them to see their children taking up their duties.

This wonderful ceremony concluded with the school anthem sung by the entire School.
