St. Mary Mazzarello, a mother to the orphans, a saviour of the unfortunate, and our Co- foundress whose feast was commemorated at Auxilium Convent High School, Wadala with great love and respect on 13th July 2022.

The Primary section paid tribute to Mother Mazzarello through an elaborate program organized in her honour which commenced with a beautiful prayer moment highlighting the theme “Holiness for you too” followed by a skit “Saint Mary Mazzarello… an inspiration for many” performed by students of Class 3 and 4. The skit depicted the virtues of humility and prayerfulness by which our Foundress St.Mary Mazarello lived her life when she was a little girl. These helped her in the long run to lay the foundation of the Institution of the Salesian Sisters. The epicenter of the program was a mesmerizing song performance by the little stars of Auxilium HKG students. Various activities such as colouring, decorating, making photo frame and needle work were organized to celebrate the day for students of Class 1 to 4.

The Secondary section lit up the day through an astounding show formulated to express their warmth and admiration for Mother Mazzarello. The show started off with the floral tribute to Mother Mazzarello and to the strong pillars of the institute our Manager Sr. Magdaline Sequeira, our Principal Sr. Gloria Ferrao followed by a sacred prayer moment highlighting the holiness, sacrifice and compassion of Mother Mazzarello. The students of the Secondary section gave a meaningful message through an act. A dance performance followed next symbolizing cheerfulness and joy. The program concluded with the enlightening words of our Manager Sr. Magdaline Sequeira.

Creative activities also a part of Mother Mazarrello’s interest were designed around the theme of “Be Cheerful” for the Secondary section students. They were like making of greeting cards and letters, posters, poems, stitching, painting symbols of humanity and peace.

St. Mary Mazzarello’s life is exemplary for thousands of youngsters and her words are a guiding light that pave the way through darkness, from ignorance to holiness.
