AMAR # 1710 Teachers Day @Aux Lonavla

‘The influence of the teachers extends beyond the classroom, well into the future.’

Teachers are respected and honored for their important contributions to shaping individuals. The 5th of September is annually celebrated as Teachers’ day in India. This is actually the birthday of the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

This notion was well depicted in the celebration and honoring of the teachers by the students and management of the Auxilium.

On this day students took the opportunity to express from the core, how they regard their teachers for all the love and care that they shower on them. They have honored and expressed their inclined gesture by varied performances in praise and in the salutation of teachers.

The celebration started with the procession of teachers led by Mother Superior Sr. Carolyn Menezes, Principal Sr. Sheela Furtado followed by all teachers, sisters, and admin staff. All teachers and the present staff were presented with saplings symbolizing the essence of sowing, growth, and blooming of the children by the teachers by parting knowledge, values, etiquette, and lesson for life. Students translated their love and gratitude firstly with the performances, followed by giving away tokens of appreciation.

In honor and regard to teachers, sumptuous lunch was arranged by the management at Villa San Laurenzo, Khandala. A day well celebrated, elevating the teachers’ spirits, enthusiasm, dedication, and zeal to part to the best of their abilities by keeping themselves abreast with the needs and challenges laid by the education fraternity.
