Auxilium Niwas, Shirva celebrated Christmas day with great joy and enthusiasm. The season of Advent itself was the time of preparation for this great day. The Sisters and the children were eagerly waiting for a King to be born again not only in manger but also in our hearts. Lighting of the candle every week was the reminder of the Lord’s coming, preparing ourselves to be hopeful, peaceful, joyful and loving in order to welcome our Savior. The novenas prayed fervently, preparing and distributing sweets, decorating the house brought a special joy which made this Christmas a unique one. The song of angels rekindled the joy of celebration during the eve and we shared it with the others by wishing and greeting good tidings. The parish had organized a short programme after the mass where we all participated in games. On the actual day itself in the evening we had Christmas party organized by Sisters. We enjoyed this Christmas day with games, carols and dances. The birthday of Jesus, filled our hearts and our house with joy, peace and love.
Indeed, it was a great and glorious day in Shirva.
