We the Pushpanjali community Dakor celebrated the feast of blessed Laura Vicuna our young teenage girl on 23rd January. The theme of this feast was “Mortification, sacrifice and Love.” There was a short programme in the boarding in the evening. The program began with a short prayer moment. Later the boarders presented the life of Blessed Laura Vicuna which invited each one of us to live a life according to the theme.
Next was the song based on Laura Vicuna sung by the children in order to honor her and later they sang a song under the guidance of Sr. Benzina composed by them and wished the sisters and each other. The sweets were distributed to the children. Sr. Savita Parakhe gave a very good thought on the theme of the day for the good night. All the children were happy to know the way Laura lived but at the same time the new children were more impressed and eager to hear and know the life Laura Vicuna. So in order to mark this occasion Sr. Benzina showed a short movie on the life of blessed Laura Vicuna. They were very happy and contented after seeing the movie and went to sleep with much grateful heart and cheerful smile on their faces. It was a very good and memorable day for every one of us.
