It was with pride and delight that four Salesian Cooperators of Laura Vicuna Unit – Ahmednagar took their Promise during the solemn Eucharist at 8.30 am in Don Bosco Church – Savedi on the feast of their Patron, 22nd January 2023. They were very well prepared by the Local Delegate Sr. Nilima Rodrigues and the Formation in-Charge Mr. Luis Shelke. It was presided over by Fr. James Tuscano sdb the Principal, and con-celebrated by the entire team of priests. Fr. James spoke of Don Bosco’s love for our Blessed Mother and for the youth. Many Salesian Cooperators and their families, parishioners, the entire Community of Sisters, and Sr. Catherine Fernandes – Province Delegate for Salesian Cooperators, Franklin Coutinho – Province Formation In-Charge and Mr. Dian D’Souza – Province Administrator graced the significant occasion. The Sisters were part of the Marathi choir; they distributed a slice of cake in honour of Blessed Laura Vicuna for all present. Later, during the scrumptious lunch hosted by the S. Cooperators, the four newly Promised members were warmly felicitated, and some of the participants were welcomed with a shawl and a gift, including Mr. Alex Pereira who celebrates 25 years as Salesian Cooperator. The FMA and SDB Communities gave their whole-hearted support, and made it a joyful celebration… a witness of our typical family spirit.
