AMAR # 329 26th January celebration @ SHTC#

By Sr. Jaya Pedathala

26th January is a momentous occasion for us Indians as we celebrate Republic day. And this year we celebrated 69th Republic day of India. As throughout our country in schools, colleges, offices the flags were hoisted the same was done in SHTC with joy and enthusiasm of being Indians, the flag was unfurled by Sr Salome D’Souza praying the tricolors to endow us with peace, prosperity and purity. Don Bosco always wanted his boys to be a good Christian and honest citizens.

There was a Republic Day programme in the campus of SHTC. The Novices performed the march past, followed by speeches in English and Marathi which were enriching and thought provoking , the novices  danced on patriotic song ‘Maa Tuje Salaam’ and sang the patriotic song ‘Chhodo kalki baate’ which aroused the feeling of pride and honour for the country in our hearts.

Jai Hind!

  1. I’m happy to see that the Novices celebrated Republic day with the unfurling of the Indian flag some programmes…that’s great as it is necessary to inculcate patriotic values in our future young FMAs…
    Congrats!
