As it is customary in all our communities, we at Eusebia Welfare Centre, Mundhwa, kept up the Marian Month from August 16 to September 15, 2018.
The theme of the month was: “Mary, Mother and Companion on life’s journey”. Each of the four weeks of the month had particular sub-themes such as “Listening like Mary”, “Praying like Mary”, Available like Mary” and “Like Mary, Companion on the journey”. During each week we worked on 2-3 commitments that would enable us to live the theme of each week in a practical manner. The daily rosary was prayed with some amount of creativity and concluded with a Marian hymn. We also made it a point to sing a hymn to Mary at the conclusion of the daily Eucharist/Communion service. 
Our Marian month concluded with a special Marian Prayer service at evening prayer on the 15th September and the “Marian Nite” programme after dinner. Our two temporary professed Sisters Sr. Maxina Luji and Sr. Jesmine Fernandes organized a number of interesting, exciting and informative Marian games that kept the four of us senior Sisters on our toes all the time. It was truly an enjoyable evening. This yearly initiative has strengthened our love for and devotion to Mary and had helped us to be more Mary like in our way of living. May Our Blessed Mother be our Guide on life’s journey and lead us daily closer to Jesus her Son.
