AMAR # 670 51st Knit India 2018 Indore

Date:  28th to 31st December 2018

Motto: Youth taking Charge Now to Transform the Nation

Objective: To nurture fellowship and friendship with persons from diverse religions and cultural background.

Participants – 97 students, 22 teachers, 7 priests

The inaugural session of knit India was a very grand event. Fr. Vincent Carmel introduced the chief Guest Fr. Nicholas Martis and explained us about the evolve from and development of knit India. Ms. Neetu Joshi then explained the dynamics of 51st Knit India and the rules to be followed for the same. Fr. Issac conducted a game during his ice-breaking session after which we were divided into 10 groups for various activities and sessions.

During the following 3 days sessions were conducted as per the given schedule. Motivational talks by Fr. Issac, Fr. Augustine, Fr. Varghese, Mr. Nayan Goyal, Ms. Tanushree Pareekh Mr. Gyanendra Purohit, Mr. Rajan Ranade, Mr. Gajendra Singh, Mr. Awadheesh Goswami Mr. Shravan Garg, Mr. Chinmay Mishra, Sr. Bessy were very inspiring and thought-provoking.

On 30th Dec. Fr. Varghese’s birthday was celebrated in the presence of all the eminent guests. Then the awards to students were presented. This year 7 students received Honesty Awards. This year Ms. Siddhi Deshpande from our school received the Honesty Award.

“On 31st Dec. at midnight, all of us went for a candle march and took an oath of being good citizens of our country. A  New Year celebration was held for the students. The next day we boarded the train to reach back to our destination. I thank Sr. Sheela Furtado, the headmistress for giving us the opportunity to attend this movement.”
