We the Sisters along with the candidates and their parents celebrated ‘Parents’ Day’ on the auspicious occasion of the feast of Bl. Laura Vicuna. The celebration commenced by Fr. Xavier Devdas SDB followed by a photo session with the sisters, candidates and their parents. After some snacks and a soft drink, the parents were lead to the hall by the sisters for cultural programme put up by the candidates.
Sr. Assumption Gonsalves welcomed the parents through a speech. Then, followed a welcome song, prayer dance, and a skit on the life of Bl. Laura Vicuna. Sr. Sunita Motheghar presented a powerpoint of the various activities of the aspirants and postulants which they presented during the year. The parents were delighted to see their daughters performing so well. This was followed by a fusion dance of Gujarat, Goa and East Indian. Sr. Cecilia in her speech expressed her feelings of joy and happiness to see the parents and assured her prayers for them. She thanked them for gifting their daughters to our Institute. The programme concluded with a thank you song. After the programme, we had a festive meal together. Parents were glad to see their children happy in their Salesian Religious calling.
