On 28th of March 2019 Sr. Anita Tairipascu along with Sr. Lavita Sequeira organised a vocation camp for the girls of Std. X, XII and above. They were ten girls from the two parishes; Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala and St. Domnic Savio, Antop Hill, Wadala.
The programme began at 10.15 am with a prayer song on the Holy Spirit. Sr. Caroline Menezes, the animator warmly welcomed them and spoke to them about the call of Mary, the call of the prophets and the call of Jonah. Fr. Shekhar SDB further enlightened them the purpose of their life – to choose the right direction. He further dwelt on the 3 Ps i.e. Perseverance, Prayer and Purity of life.
At noon we had the Eucharistic celebration which was a participative one. All the girls were served food with the Sisters in their refectory where they could mingle with the young and old Sisters of the community.
Lively games were organised for the girls and later through a powerpoint presentation the life and mission of the Sisters was explained to them. Sr. Caroline distributed prizes, and each of them received a keychain of St. Mary Mazzarello. Tea was served to all and the girls returned home happy with the joy of knowing Christ and his call.
