AMAR # 779 Outreach by the Salesian Cooperators of Pali Hill, Bandra

The Salesian Co-operators of the Pali Hill Bandra unit visited the home run by Mother Teresa’s Roses on Saturday, 30th March 2019, near Bhabha Hospital, Bandra. We were 9 members in all along with our delegate Sr. Judy Gaikwad and Sr. Fides Macwan. All of us gathered there at 12.15 pm and met Sr. Vijaya and Sr. Anusha. The Co-operators and the sisters donated pulses, oil, toilet articles and vegetables, clothes, etc for the inmates of the house. While we were there, a few men and women living on the pavement were waiting for either medical treatment or for food. Sr. Vijaya mentioned the type of work they were doing: of picking up people from the roadside, taking them to the hospital, cleaning their wounds, bathing them, etc. We all interacted with the Sisters and promised to see them again sometime. A few of our Co-operators also willingly proposed to bring in things, like medicine, required for the patients. It was a lovely experience for all of us.
