Teachers’ Day began on 5th September morning with a lot of excitement and activity. Students were super excited as this was the day when they were going to demonstrate and express their love for their teachers.
The teachers were escorted into the basement hall at 8.45 am, a prayer service was conducted by the school leaders. A short role-play was incorporated into the prayer. The sisters then attended to the teachers who were served a delicious breakfast. Sr. Superior, Sr. Theresa Joseph, the animator Sr. Sheela Furtado, the Headmistress, and all the other Sisters were on their toes making sure that the teachers enjoyed the breakfast. After that, teachers went to their respective classes where their class students entertained them with song, dance, and skits. Every student participated in this event wholeheartedly.
The classrooms were beautifully decorated, for the occasion by each class. It was a festive celebration and students enjoyed expressing their love in various ways. The teacher’s hearts were filled to overflowing with this overwhelming expression of love.
The staff was then taken to a nearby restaurant where they were treated to an elaborate festive lunch. The school management gifted a beautiful glass bowl set to each teacher.
The Sisters had indeed painstakingly prepared this day for the teachers who in turn acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of all the sisters in making Teachers day 2019 a very memorable one.
