(Sr. Valerie Pereira) Auxilium Centre, Velim celebrated the feast of Bl. Laura Vicuna. To highlight this event we had a vigil service based on the life of Laura Vicuna. The morning of 22nd made us to reflect on the sacrificing life of Laura Vicuna. The special feature of this day was to make known our teenage saint Bl. Laura Vicuna and this was made effective as Sr. Nathal Rodrigues animated the session on the importance of Values and Human Trafficking. She conducted these sessions at St. Francis Xavier High school, Velim. We took this opportunity to highlight our teenage model, Bl. Laura Vicuna. Her life 
was narrated by Sr. Valerie Pereira and a power point presentation was shown on “Sanctity is for everyone” based on the three aspect of “Be cheerful”, “Do your duty well”, and “Give others”. The children expressed their sentiments of gratitude to the Sisters who organized such enriching and meaningful programme and promised to be sacrificing in every little thing that they do.
The Remedial class children and the computer student also celebrated the feast of Bl. Laura Vicuna in the evening. The programme began with the movie depicting the sacrificing life of Laura Vicuna. It was explained to them and the children imbibed three important things from the life of Bl. Laura that is sanctity consists in being cheerful, doing one’s duty well, and helping others. Various action songs on “Jesus is the king of the universe” and “God’s watching you” made the children feel very lively and active. The programme concluded with the song Love, love changes everything.
