Marian month at Pushpanjali, Dakor !

With great joy and happiness we the sisters of Pushpanjali began our Marian month on 14th July 2017 with the theme: ‘Mary, the cradle of all families’. . With joyful hymns we welcomed Mary from the gate to our ‘Pushpanjali’ home to the boarding, ITI sector and to the Sister’s quarters. After placing Mary’s statue in the decorated places, we then danced on the beat of Timbli (Gujarati Folk Dance) around her. Later Sr. Urvashi Makwana animated the prayer service where she explained the theme ‘Mary- the cradle of all families’. She explained that how fortunate we are to have a Mother who cares for us her children, and we need to imitate her virtues in order to keep our families happy. Throughout the month we had various competitions like Marian antakshari, grotto decoration, Rosary making, singing competition and composing hymns on Mary. The groups were asked to decorate the statue of Our Lady’s statue. The best and the most creative ones were rewarded. The Sisters and the boarders were invited by Don Bosco Fathers to have Marian quiz and later the Marian Nite. The Marian Nite was creatively organized and prizes were given to all the participants. Sr. Sunanda Solanki, the animator gave a thought to the boarders. At the end of the programme the group which scored the highest marks was given a crown and the members were declared ‘Marian Knights’ of the year.
