Navratri celebrations at Jag Prakash,Pansora!

On 23rd September along with the village children who belong to six diffenrt villages, we had the celebration of Navartri with the village tuitions children of six villages. They arrived with full of gusto to play the Garba. Garba is one of the popular festivals in Gujarat, where women dance to their hearts’ content. We had the Garba competitions according to their villages and at the end played the Garba together with the children of the boarding and also of the village.

On 26th September we continued to have the Garba celebrations but this time for the SHG women of Pansora and Parvata village. They came with the traditional dress to enjoy and celebrate the Navratri held in our campus. The women and the tailoring girls danced on the tune of Timly, Sanedo and the latest Garba songs and enjoyed it to the full.  Before we could close for the day, we distributed prizes and snacks to those present. It was indeed an enjoyable time for all of us.
