Marian Month

The community of Velim celebrated the Marian Month from 15th August to 15th September. Every day the community prayed the rosary with the children of NIOS and of the evening school. It was beautiful to see the children praying with child-like confidence to Mary our Mother. On 14th September we had the conclusion of the Marian month along with the students of NIOS and evening school. The sisters conducted games for the children and they really enjoyed. This month brought us closer to each other and increased our devotion to our Blessed Mother.

Vocation Camp

Srs. Nathal Rodrigues and Gema Gudinho together with the assistant Parish Priest had the vocation camp at the deanery level. There were about 115 children from four parishes. A deacon shared with them the call of Jeremiah and his own vocation story. He gave them some tips how to spread love of Jesus with the people of other faith. He said to do at least one good deed a day and spread goodness around. Sr. Nathal spoke to them about our Institute and her vocation story. She also showed them a video clipping of a priest who was helped by God in his speech impediment. There were religious Sisters of other congregations who shared about their congregation. Later the children enacted a few parables from the Gospel. We pray that these youngsters may be receptive to God’s call.
