(Sr. Margaret Misquitta) St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor awoke on 31st January morn in a celebration mood to celebrate the feast of our father and founder Don IMG_2404 - CopyBosco.  How come that it happened at a Diocesan college?

The students from East Timor, forty-two boys and girls are here for a 10-month English Course and the vast majority of them are Past Pupils of the Don Bosco and FMA institutions in East Timor. Love for Don Bosco is very much alive in these students and IMG_2419 - Copyunder the leadership of Sr. Margaret Misquitta, the Warden at the Girls Hostel, the morning’s Eucharist was animated and celebrated very meaningfully with an introduction on the life of Don Bosco and the Prayer of the Faithful imploring God’s blessings.  The singing of hymns during the Eucharist was heavenly with the students singing in voices, concluding with the hymn VIVA DON BOSCO!

As the participants went out of chapel, cake was distributed to one and all and in the afternoon Sr. Margaret had the agape meal with the College Fathers at their residence.

  2. Brava! Sr. Margaret for having organized a celebration at your hostel to honour Don Bosco on his feast day. Having been to East Timor on four occasions and having done two canonical visits to our Sisters in country…I can understand how “Salesian” those Timorese young people must be! I feel happy that you are keeping up the Salesian family spirit in the SJEC campus!
