“Encourage one another and build each other up.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
On 2 July 2026, with hearts filled with thanksgiving, the Auxilium Baroda Community gathered for a meaningful Appreciation Evening Prayer Service centered on the theme, “Together We Build Community with Hearts Full of Gratitude.” Beautifully prepared and animated by Sr. Philomena Lobo and Sr. Priya Tauro, the evening created an atmosphere of prayer, reflection, and joyful fraternity.
The celebration began by acknowledging that every sister is a precious gift of God, called to enrich the community through her unique charism and generous service. The proclamation of Romans 12:9–13 invited everyone to live sincere love, honour one another, persevere in prayer, and serve the Lord with joyful zeal. The reflection emphasized that appreciation is more than expressing gratitude; it is recognizing Christ's presence in one another through hidden sacrifices, quiet acts of kindness, and faithful witness.

Each sister was then invited forward and appreciated through a carefully chosen Scripture passage, a message of gratitude, a prayer of blessing, and a fitting musical response. This beautiful gesture celebrated the unique gifts, talents, and mission of every member of the community, affirming that each one has an irreplaceable role in building a vibrant and faith-filled family.
As Mother Teresa wisely said, "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." Inspired by this spirit, each sister drew the name of another sister along with a symbol such as a flower, candle, pen, or gratitude card, and expressed words of appreciation that reflected the qualities represented by the chosen symbol. This thoughtful activity fostered deeper understanding, mutual respect, and a greater appreciation of one another's presence in the community.
The prayer service concluded with a common prayer, entrusting the community to the Lord and seeking the grace to continue growing in love, unity, and joyful service. Inspired by the spirit of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, the sisters gathered around the table for a fellowship meal, celebrating the gift of communion. The evening served as a gentle reminder that communities flourish when every member is valued, encouraged, and supported, making God's love visible through simple acts of appreciation and shared life.
