CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION - VELIM

As India celebrated Children’s Day, the Auxilium Velim community brought life to the occasion by organizing a mini Gala Day on 24th November 2025. A total of 58 children from Velim village participated in the celebration.

The day commenced with a prayer, invoking God’s blessings on all the children. The event was joyfully inaugurated by Sr. Perpetual Ferrao, the Animator of the community. Six game stalls with exciting prizes were set up, and these were actively managed by our youth group, NIOS students, and SHG women.

This was followed by various competitions such as solo and group singing, dancing, hair styling, and face painting, in which the children participated with great enthusiasm.

The day concluded with an inspiring message by Sr. Perpetual Ferrao on the importance of caring for creation through simple gestures like saving water and avoiding the uprooting of plants. Prizes for all competitions were distributed, along with take-away gifts such as colour balls and skipping ropes for all the children. Refreshments were also served.

The celebration ended on a note of joy and gratitude.
