“COMMUNITY APPRECIATION DAY” MAZZARELLO KENDRA SISTERS KASARKOD Theme: "One Honeycomb, Many Cells – One Community, Many Gifts."

On 23rd July 2026, our community joyfully celebrated Community Appreciation Day with the meaningful theme, "One Honeycomb, Many Cells – One Community, Many Gifts."

The celebration reminded us that just as a honeycomb is made up of many cells working together to produce sweet honey, every member of the community contributes unique gifts that enrich our common life.

The programme began with hymns of appreciation, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and joy. This was followed by the proclamation of the Word of God, inviting us to reflect on the importance of love, unity, and mutual appreciation within our community.

A beautiful symbolic gesture followed. Each sister wrote words of appreciation for another sister and placed them around the honeycomb symbol, expressing gratitude for her unique qualities and contributions. As a sign of the sweetness of loving relationships, a spoonful of honey was lovingly offered to the sister being appreciated. This touching gesture reminded everyone that kind words and genuine appreciation bring sweetness to community life.

Afterwards, the sisters exchanged heart-shaped symbols on which appreciation messages had been written. They greeted one another with warm wishes, strengthening the bonds of love, respect, and fraternity among all.

The celebration concluded with Our Father prayer, thanking God for the gift of each community member and praying for continued unity, joy, and mutual support in our common mission.

The Community Appreciation Day was a beautiful experience of gratitude, love, and communion, inspiring everyone to value one another's gifts and continue building a community rooted in appreciation and care.
