The Auxilium Baroda community joyfully celebrated its Community Gratitude Day 2025 under the inspiring theme “Anchored in hope, we give thanks.” The celebration was not confined to a single day but grew from a week filled with prayer, reflection, and gratitude.

Throughout the week, the sisters prayed intentionally for one another, each one carrying the wellbeing, mission, and personal intentions of another sister in her heart. Special intercessions were also offered for our benefactors, past pupils, students, teachers, support staff, and all our neighbours who support and journey with us in countless visible and invisible ways. It was a time of deep spiritual communion—of recognizing how richly God’s love reaches us through the people around us.

This spiritual preparation beautifully culminated in a vigil service on 3 November, setting a tone of quiet joy, gratitude, and hope. The following day, 4 November, the community gathered around the Lord’s table for the solemn Eucharistic celebration, the highest act of thanksgiving.
Fr. Thomas, the main celebrant, delivered a meaningful homily, reminding us that a grateful heart sees God in everything and everyone. He invited us to nurture a spirit of gratitude not just in extraordinary moments but in the simple daily gestures of kindness, sacrifice, and service.

In the spirit of this call, each member of the community took time to express gratitude—recognizing one another’s contributions, sacrifices, companionship, and love. Smiles, words of appreciation, and simple acts of affection filled the day, transforming it into a celebration of unity, joy, and sisterhood.

In the FMA Constitutions, gratitude is often reflected as a hallmark of our spirituality. The Salesian tradition invites us to contemplate God’s goodness with a joyful heart and to respond with generosity, optimism, and hope. Our way of life encourages us to recognize every gift as coming from God and to express gratitude through cheerful service, community living, and fidelity to our mission among the young.

Indeed, Community Gratitude Day 2025 was more than an event—it was a lived experience of Salesian joy. Anchored in hope, strengthened by unity, and filled with thanksgiving, it became a day of true gladness and rejoicing for the entire Auxilium Baroda family.
