COMMUNITY GRATITUDE DAY-DAHANU

Auxilium Youth Animation Centre, Dahanu, celebrated Community Gratitude Day from February 3rd to 11th. This period was dedicated to prayer, reflection, and appreciation for all those who contribute to the growth and well-being of our community. The theme, "Be Ourselves Little Torches of Hope for Others," guided us throughout the week, reminding us to spread light and hope in the lives of those around us.

We prayed for the Provincial and her council, the Sisters of the INB Province, the sisters of the community, benefactors, tuition children and teachers, VTC students, house helpers, vendors, family members, departed brothers and sisters, neighboring communities, the Parish Priest, parishioners, youth, and catechism children.

On the feast day, the Vigil Prayer, Morning Prayer, and Mass were beautifully animated by Sr. Benzina Vayaghar and Sr. Gloria Landgi. The day was especially significant for the daughters of Mary Help of Christians, as we took this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to our community Animator, Sr. Assumption Gonsalves.

The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Ronnie D’Abreo, who, in his homily, reminded us that gratitude should be a daily practice, not just reserved for special occasions. He emphasized that our community thrives on appreciation and mutual support.

In the evening, we extended our gratitude to the parishioners of Narpad Parish, who were also celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel. Fr. Joel D’Cunha, the Vicar General of the Vasai Diocese, celebrated the Mass. In his homily, he connected the 18 apparitions of Mary to the daily lives of people around the world, reminding us of Mary’s continued guidance.

Our helpers expressed their love and appreciation for Sr. Assumption Gonsalves, Sr. Gloria Landgi, and Sr. Benzina Vayaghar by presenting them with a rose and a gift. In turn, we showed our gratitude towards our helpers by offering them a token of love. Our teachers also expressed their appreciation by presenting us with a small token of their affection.
