“INNOVATIVE TEACHING IS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING YOUNG MINDS.” - BARODA

On 4th June 2025, Auxilium Baroda organized an insightful seminar for educators led by the dynamic Mrs. Kiran Tiwari from Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama. The session began with an engaging ice-breaker — drawing a house — emphasizing the need to think beyond habitual patterns and encouraging open-mindedness in teaching strategies.

Mrs. Tiwari highlighted the importance of innovative strategies in fostering creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, motivation, and 21st-century skills. Teachers participated in a group activity called “Teaching a Mural,” sharing strategies like storytelling, circle time, and play-way methods, tailored to various age groups.

Key innovative approaches discussed included Project-Based Learning, Inquiry-Based Learning, Experiential Learning, Gamification, Collaborative Learning, and Flipped Classrooms. Emphasis was placed on the teacher’s role as a facilitator who nurtures problem-solving and communication skills.

Post-break, teachers engaged in a creative presentation activity “Create and Pitch,” showcasing strategies through skits and songs to promote classroom energy and engagement.   

The session transitioned into Classroom Management, focusing on transforming chaos into control. An interactive activity demonstrated the importance of clear instructions in avoiding confusion. Techniques like call-and-response signals (“Mac and cheese – everybody freeze!”) were introduced to manage attention and behavior effectively.

The seminar concluded with a reflective moment on imagining one’s “Ideal Classroom” and a heartfelt message: “Thank you for helping me grow.” The session left teachers inspired and equipped with tools to make learning both meaningful and memorable.
