After the message, the Physical Education teacher, along with the trained student leaders, demonstrated various yoga asanas on the stage. The students and staff members actively participated and followed the demonstrations with great enthusiasm. The session included stretching exercises, breathing techniques, and different yoga postures that promote flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.
The celebration was a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone. It helped create awareness about the importance of yoga and inspired students to adopt healthy lifestyle practices. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to making yoga a part of daily life and promoting a healthier future for all.

Auxilium School, Nandgad, enthusiastically celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day on 20 June 2026. The theme for this year's celebration was "Yoga for Healthy Ageing", emphasizing the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being throughout life.
The preparations for the event began well in advance. Our Physical Education teacher trained and guided the student leaders in various yoga postures and breathing exercises so that they could confidently lead the entire school during the celebration.
The programme commenced with the morning assembly animation. Following this, the students read out the themes of the year, reminding everyone of the values and goals that guide our educational journey. The theme of International Yoga Day, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," was prominently displayed on a beautifully decorated backdrop, creating an inspiring atmosphere for the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, our Principal, Sr. Jyothi Pinto, highlighted the significance of yoga in daily life. She explained how regular practice of yoga helps maintain physical fitness, improves concentration, reduces stress, and promotes inner peace. She encouraged the students to cultivate the habit of practising yoga regularly to lead a healthy and disciplined life.
