MARIAN EVENING WITH THE SALESIAN FAMILY – AUXILIUM BENAULIM
St. John Bosco famously said, “Trust in Mary, and you will know what miracles are.” This was the theme of the Marian Evening held on 20th August 2026 at St. Francis Xavier Convent, Benaulim. The event was organised by the Cooperators, ADMA members, and the youth under the guidance of Sr. Priscilla D’Souza. The entire programme was very well planned and included a prayer moment, games, snacks, and dinner.

The children born in the month of August were then invited to cut the birthday cake. Snacks and refreshments were served in between the games. The mothers of the birthday children distributed cake and chocolates, the Cooperators served chicken rolls, and the ADMA members offered soft drinks to everyone.
Another exciting moment was the announcement of the winners. There was a tie between two groups, so Sr. Priscilla conducted another round of the Marian Quiz to determine the winners. The results were as follows:
First Place: Mother of God — whose members were crowned with golden crowns.
Second Place: Our Lady of Guadalupe — whose members received silver crowns.
However, the most amazing part was that everyone present received a prize according to the marks scored. The evening was filled with joy, cheer, and fun, all in honour of our Blessed Mother.
To conclude, Sr. Cecilia Crasta, the Superior of the Community, spoke about the miracles worked through the intercession of Mary, Help of Christians, as experienced by Don Bosco. She also spoke about the miraculous water associated with Sr. Romero, encouraging all those gathered to continue trusting in our Blessed Mother, believing that miracles can take place.
Each participant left the hall with a delicious dinner box prepared by the Cooperators. We concluded the evening with hearts full of gratitude, thanking Divine Providence and our Blessed Mother for her loving presence and intervention throughout the celebration.

The event was organised by the Cooperators, ADMA members, and the youth under the guidance of Sr. Priscilla D’Souza. The event began at 6:30 p.m. Printed images of Our Blessed Mother—Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of God, Immaculate Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, and Mary Help of Christians—were distributed to all the participants. Based on these images, the participants were divided into six groups, each bearing one of the titles of Mother Mary.
The prayer moment began with all of us entering the hall in procession, carrying the statue of Mother Mary and singing hymns in her honour. The youth and ADMA members then performed a devotional dance in praise of our Blessed Mother.
Then began the most exciting part of the evening—the GAMES! A Marian Quiz and Treasure Hunt were conducted by the ADMA members. The Cooperators organised a game in which participants had to form names used to invoke Mother Mary using macaroni alphabets. Another enjoyable activity, conducted by Sr. Meena Fernandes, involved dressing the children as Our Lady using newspapers.
