Auxilium Convent High School celebrated Van Mahotsav and Doctors' Day through a meaningful programme that beautifully combined environmental awareness with gratitude for the dedicated service of medical professionals. The celebration inspired students to embrace the values of compassion, responsibility, and care for both humanity and nature.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service featuring an introduction, reflective prayers, the Prayer of the Faithful, and a melodious prayer song that emphasized the importance of protecting God's creation. The prayers reminded everyone that safeguarding the environment is a shared responsibility and that doctors are true instruments of healing, hope, and compassion.
A significant highlight of the celebration was the planting of saplings by the Manager, Sr. Rita D'Souza, Supervisor, Sr. Kalyani Subramanian, the invited doctors, teachers, the Head Girl, the Assistant Head Girl, members of the Eco Club, and students. Their collective participation symbolized the school's commitment to fostering a greener and healthier future.
The students also took an Environmental Pledge, promising to protect and preserve nature. Each class presented a sapling and pledged to nurture it throughout the year, reinforcing the belief that every small effort contributes towards a sustainable future.
To mark Doctors' Day, the invited doctors were felicitated for their selfless service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to society. The celebration was further enriched by an informative address by Dr. Neelam Chaudhary, who highlighted the importance of oral hygiene and encouraged students to adopt healthy dental care habits from an early age.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone inspired to cherish nature, value good health, and appreciate those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.
