“ROOTED IN FAITH, GROWING WITH NATURE:
A JOYFUL CELEBRATION OF MOTHER MAZZARELLO AND VAN MAHOTSAV” - PANSORA
The month of July 2025 blossomed with grace, joy, and vibrant celebration as the Sisters of Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay, Pansora, came together to honour the Feast of St. Mary Mazzarello in harmony with the themes of nature, service, and faith. On 6th July, the campus of Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay came alive as over 320 village children from nine villages, SHG women, village leaders, teachers, and social workers from eight surrounding villages joined hands for a spirited joint celebration of Environment Day and the Feast of Mother Mazzarello.

The day unfolded with a prayerful welcome, lively dances, a touching skit on Mother Mazzarello’s life, and inspiring talks by the village Sarpanch, Mr. Jayesh Parmar, and Sr. Maria Macwan. A tree plantation drive crowned the day, with each participant receiving a sapling—a living symbol of hope and commitment to Mother Earth. On 10th July, Auxilium School bloomed with devotion as the students and staff paid tribute to their beloved co-foundress through a soulful prayer service, heartfelt felicitation of the Sisters, a graceful skit, melodious songs, and joyful dances. Sr. Maria’s uplifting message stirred every heart to walk in the footsteps of Mother Mazzarello.

The celebration ended with warm smiles and the sharing of snacks, radiating Salesian joy and unity. The series of festivities culminated on 16th July with the boarding children of Jag Prakash Kanya Chatralay celebrating Van Mahotsav and the Feast of St. Mary Mazzarello in the gracious presence of Fr. Peter Lopes. A vibrant cultural programme, reflecting Mother Mazzarello’s virtues through dance, song, skit, and quiz, uplifted all present. The children then planted saplings in groups, pledging to nurture them with care, symbolizing their commitment to a greener, brighter future. Fr. Peter’s meaningful message inspired the young hearts to live a life of faith, responsibility, and love for creation. These three unforgettable celebrations truly echoed the spirit of Mother Mazzarello—simple, strong, joyful, and rooted in love for God, others, and the Earth.
