SEASON OF CREATION 2026 “LIVING WATER – IMMERSED IN LIVING WATER”

At Auxilium Baroda, the Season of Creation 2026 was celebrated with joy to care for our common home. This year’s theme, “Living Water – Immersed in Living Water,” invited the entire Auxilium family to reflect on water as a precious gift of God and as a source of life, renewal and hope. As Scripture reminds us, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink” (John 7:37) and “Whoever believes in me… rivers of living water will flow from within them” (John 7:38). These words beautifully connect our care for creation with our call to become life-giving people.

Immersed in Living Water – A Commitment to Life: The Season of Creation was therefore not simply a series of activities but an invitation to immerse ourselves in a new way of living—one that respects water, values nature and recognizes our responsibility towards the earth.

St. Francis of Assisi, who had a deep love for creation, called water “humble, precious and chaste.” His words remind us to appreciate what we often take for granted.

As an Auxilium family, we are called to allow the message of Living Water to flow beyond this season. May we become people who bring life where there is dryness, hope where there is discouragement, and peace where there is conflict.

“Living water flows.

Let our care flow.

Let our compassion flow.

Let peace flow through our relationship with creation.”

May we continue to protect every drop, nurture every living thing and care for our common home, so that the earth may remain a place of life and blessing for generations to come.

Experiencing the Gift of Creation: Through Nature Walks, our students were encouraged to slow down and notice the beauty around them—the trees, flowers, birds and other forms of life. It was a simple yet meaningful reminder that creation is not merely something we use; it is a gift we are entrusted to cherish.

Planting Hope: The plantation activities gave students an opportunity to put their care into action. As they planted and nurtured saplings, they experienced that caring for the earth requires patience, responsibility and commitment. Every sapling became a small sign of hope for a greener tomorrow.

Celebrating with Grandparents: The celebration became especially joyful when the grandparents of our Pre-Primary children joined in. Bringing together the young and the elderly created a beautiful moment of sharing, gratitude and intergenerational learning. It reminded us that caring for creation is a responsibility that must be passed on from one generation to the next.

Prayer – Returning to the Source: Prayer remained at the heart of our celebration. Through prayer animations, the Holy Rosary and moments of reflection, students, teachers and sisters thanked God for the gift of water and for the earth that sustains us. Just like the water, we are called to live with transparent hearts—free from selfishness, ready to forgive, to care and to become a source of peace. The Psalmist beautifully expresses our dependence on God: “He leads me beside quiet waters; he refreshes my soul” (Psalm 23:2–3).

Small Actions, Meaningful Change: Through Good Morning Talks, students were regularly reminded to save water and electricity, avoid wastage, reduce plastic, care for plants and animals, and keep their surroundings clean. Our commitment to a plastic-free campus and the Cleanliness Drive further translated awareness into action. Students discovered that caring for creation does not always require extraordinary deeds. Small choices, repeated every day, can create meaningful change.
